“Akrikada Vendor pick app helps you to easily manage your order and pickup and track the status of your product.”The Kerala Scrap Merchants Association (KSMA) created in 2017, is a registered welfare association specifically created for the upliftment of the members and those involved in scrap business in Kerala. KSMA has a strong presence in all the districts of Kerala whose aim is to consistently engage in social and cultural upliftment of its members and those affiliated to the scrap business. Scrap collection is one of the necessary businesses for sustainability. But there are numerous negative factors that impact the scrap business, like unfair price, no unified pricing systems, lack of knowledge in handling scraps with its associated risks, improper disposal, ignorance about correct recycling methods etc . To solve these issues the Kerala Scrap Merchants Association (KSMA) has developed a plan by introducing a digital unified platform, Akrikada App, which connects all vendors, customers and manpower associated with scrap collection across the state. Through this app scrap collection will be more refined and better coordinated.How does it work?Vendors will add the staffs associated with their businessOnce an order is assigned to the Staff by the vendor, he /she will get a notification regarding the accepted orders of the customer.Now the staff can pick up the scrap from the customerOnce the scrap is inspected he/she can release the quoted amount to the customer.The order will be closed once the scrap reaches the vendors destination
